The Fuel Cell Consortium for Performance and Durability (FC-PAD) is conducting research in six coordinated thrust areas.

The research thrusts include three component-specific thrusts and three cross-cutting technique thrusts. Each thrust is coordinated by a senior technical staff scientist with representation from other participating laboratories.
